Parents Training Programme / Meet conducted

Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons Manipur under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India organised a Parents Training Programme cum Parents Meet 2021 today at Kakching district.
Chuongsin Koireng, member of Manipur State Commission for Women, Nimol Ningombam, media advisor of the Relief Centre and senior sub editor of Naharolgi Thoudang and Laimayum Amarendra Sharma, MDW of Social Welfare Department were the resource persons of today's programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Nimol Ningombam elaborated about the causes of different forms of disabilities.
He stated that the programme is being organised to sensitize the people on how to treat the differently abled persons properly and to know one's responsibilities towards them.
L Amarendra Sharma said that the Government has been taking up many schemes for the welfare of differently abled persons.
Therefore he appealed to all the concerned to apply for Disabilities certificate in order to take benefits of such useful schemes.
He further called for collective efforts from all to help the disabled persons lead a normal life.
Chuongsin Koireng stated that one should not leave the disabled persons on their own and should make sure that they receive the due benefits assigned for them by the Government.
She continued that she has problems of visual impairment however she is able to lead a normal life due to her continuous efforts.
