Union ministers will scrutinize state development projects: Chaoba

The Centre will be sending different ministers regularly to Manipur to oversee the execution of development projects here and scrutinize the manner in which they are being carried out.
Those found guilty of misusing the funds cannot escape from facing the music, stated Manipur BJP chief Th Chaoba during his address at a mass enrollment camp held at Sora in Thoubal district.
Chaoba further claimed that the Union MoS of Commerce and Industries Nirmala Sitharaman who inspected several development projects during her recent visit to the State identified several cases of anomalies between the works undertaken and the fund spent.
He announced that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be arriving in Imphal.
Chaoba informed that the Home Minister will also be making his own assessment of other developmental projects.
He said similar visits of other Union ministers are also in the offing and guaranteed fitting punishment for those involved in misappropriation of funds.
Training his gun on the Congress Party, Chaoba claimed that there has been massive erosion in the base of the Congress Party in many States and pointed out the annihilation of the party in the in the Delhi Assembly election was an illustration of its lost glory.
The party is on the verge of falling apart in Manipur too, he stated and even made a prediction that the Congress will encounter problems in finding candidates for the next Assembly elections.
State BJP secretary M Rameshwor stated that Sora is an underdeveloped part of Thoubal District without availability of basic facilities like potable water, health-care among others.
Retired IAS officer AR Khan and many party leaders attended the camp.
