Army health care workers get Covishield

Imphal, January 19 2021:
COVID vaccination for Army health care workers was launched at Military Hospital, Leimakhong Military Station today.
40 healthcare workers of Red Shield Division were administered Covishield vaccine in the first phase of the launch today, said a statement issued by PIB (Defence Wing).
The launch programme was attended by Brig K.Loganathan, Deputy GOC Red Shield Division and Station Commander of Leimakhong Military Station; N Praveen Singh, DC Imphal West; Dr Th Nandakishwor Singh, State Immunisation Officer; Dr H Kula Singh, CMO Imphal West; Dr Apao, Surveillance Officer, WHO and Dr Th Shantajit Singh District Immunization Officer besides the doctors, staff and healthcare workers of Military Hospital, added the statement.
The statement added that N Praveen Singh gave a broad execution plan of vaccination drive and expressed confidence of its success.
In his address Brig K Loganathan appreciated and thanked all the Covid warriors for their yeoman service during the pandemic, added the statement.
He also thanked the DC and officials of Department of Health, Government of Manipur for the assistance provided to Army and assured the civil administration of all the assistance in fight against COVID -19, added the statement.
