Citing 'non-distributing of PMGKAY rice' at Irong Kongleiram Village which is under Kasom Sub-division of Kamjong district, denizens of the said village appealed to the State Government and department concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons, chairman of Development Kongleiram Village, Ramthar Keishing claimed that altogether 52 bags of rice allocated for the village were taken by the former headman cum chairman Awungshi and former secretary of the village on July 2, but the same is not yet made available to the beneficiaries.
He also claimed that the two individuals were stripped from their posts for indulging in activities which are against the customary law of the village.
