Deadline of 27 DoNER Projects in State extended

Imphal, December 02 2012: The completion period of at least 27 projects being taken up in Manipur under DoNER Ministry has been extended following late sanctioning of the funds and untimely approval of the State's share for these projects by the State Planning Department.

According to a highly placed source in the State Planning Department, the late submission of financial and physical reports, which should be done in accordance to the given guidelines of DoNER Ministry, is one of the major reasons behind extension of the completion period of various projects.

All concerned officials have been directed to take up measures required for timely sanctioning of the funds.

The various projects whose completion period has been newly fixed include construction of an RCC Bridge at Keirao Litan Makhong, which was taken up in 2010-11 .

It is being targeted to be completed by March 2013.The Tamenglong-Haflong Suspension Bridge which was taken up in 2005-06 is now to be completed by December this year; the 2006-07 Irom Ichil RCC Bridge is targeted to be completed during this month; the 2007-08 Jiribam-Tipaimukh Road is targeted to be completed by March 2013 and the 2009-10 Sawombung-Sagolmang Road is targeted to be completed by March 2013 .

The 50 bedded District Hospital in Senapati which was taken up in 2006-07 is to be completed by this month; the Primary Health Sub-Centre and the 50 bedded Jiribam Hospital taken up in 2007-08 are to be completed by June 2013; the 2007-08 Konthoujam Water Supply has been targeted to be completed by March 2013; the 2008-09 Liha Loute Water Supply Scheme, the 2008-09 Chandel 132 KVSS are set to be completed by March 2013 .

The Mongkhang Lambi Bridge, the Wangjing Ketin Lampak Barrage, the Chandrakhong Barrage and the Konkan Thana project, which are being taken up since 2010-11, are also to be completed by March 2013 .

The Liyai Khullen Water Supply Scheme and the Langthabal Phuramakhong water Supply taken up in 2009-10 are to complete by June 2013.The Khomidok Water Supply project taken up in 2009-10 is targeted to be completed by March 2013 .

The Keibul lamjao Water Supply and the Thanga water Supply which are being taken up since in 2010-11 are to be completed by June 2013 while the construction of 7 Tribal Market(2010-11) is to be completed by June 2013 .
