Liquor seized

Imphal, February 05 2017:
A total of 1160 litres of local-made liquor was seized during drives conducted by police in different places today.
A team of Imphal West Narcotic Cell led by Inspector Ksh Devkumar arretsed a person along with 50 litres of liquor during a drive carried out at Lamphel Super Market under Lamphel police station.
The arrested person has been identified as Moirangthem Rajenkumar (47) s/o (L) Thambal of Lamphel Super Market.
A case has been registered against him in the police station concerned.
Lamlai police also seized 850 litres of liquor during frisking and checking along Imphal-Ukhrul road.
Another 260 litres of local-made liquor was seized by a team of Heingang police.
The police team also arrested a person who possessed the liquor.
