Imphal, December 19 2011:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared that if the party gets the chance to form a government at the Centre after the next polls, the Chief Minister of Manipur and his Council of Ministers will be put under intense probe for corruption and send them to jail.
Addressing an election rally at Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT) here today, Nitin Gadkari, BJP National President said his party will try its level best to bring about peace and development in the state and there will be no bandh and blockade if BJP comes to power at the Centre.
Attacking the UPA Government at the Centre, he alleged that all the UPA leaders are "Corruption Pandits" who are neck deep in corruption, and added that the recent Manipur visit of the Union Home Minister entirely aimed at giving lessons to the State Government on how to learn the corruption business.
He further alleged that the materials for construction of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which could have cost not more than Rs 120 crores, had been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 900 crores, thereby looting the people of the country.

Recalling the development works carried out during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, Gadkari charged the present UPA government with creating problems for the farmers of the country, even forcing them to commit suicide.
"No peace and development can be brought in the State since the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) Government is just waiting for the opportune moment to eat up and loot the public fund", Gadkari alleged.
Asserting that there is strong suspicion over the possibility of government of Manipur having nexus with the militant groups in the State, Gadkari contended that earlier there were only two to three militant groups, but now there are more than 30 groups.
He assured the people of the state that if the BJP comes to power at the Centre after the next polls, the state would be developed in all aspects and given no room for the people to complain.
"The BJP coming to power at the Centre after the next polls is certain and it would do its level best to put the dreams of the North East States into reality", the BJP leader added.
He also praised the people of the State, particularly youths who have brought laurels .to the country in the field of sports and said that many Asian countries wish to visit the State but law and order situation has kept them at bay.
Speaking at the rally, BJP National spokesperson Prakash Javadekar observed that the state of affairs prevailing in Manipur has become so difficult and complicated that everybody's life is under threat.
The State Works Minister K.Ranjit shot and wounded Advocate General of Manipur and IFCD Minister N.Biren's own son killed a youth, of which no justice has been done.
The SPF Government is becoming akin to a militant organization.
Recalling the recent incident that took place at Thoubal Moijing where BJP leader Najma Heptullah and her supporters were allegedly attacked by Congress supporters, Javadekar pointed out that democracy means ballot not bullet.
The attack on Najma Heptullah in the Chief Minister's own home constituency was not at all democratic, he added.
The election rally was also attended by Kiran Maheshwari, BJP, National General Secretary; Lalhluna, President, BJP, Mizoram; HS Syimelich, President, BJP,Meghalaya and Chuba Ao, President, BJP, Nagaland.
Meanwhile, a BJP zonal meeting for Northeast region was held this evening at Hotel Classic here during which all the presidents of Northeast States attended.
Sources from the State BJP said that Nitin Gadkari and his team will leave Imphal tomorrow after meeting journalists here.
The party will be fielding 10 candidates in the coming general elections in the State, it added.
