Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister V Hangkhanlian, inaugurated a one day literary cum UPSC workshop at District Training Centre, Tuibong, Churachandpur district today.
Deputy Commissioner Shyam Lal Poonia, SP, Churachandpur, Rakesh Balwal, Secretary, Jaipur Development Authority, Haulianlal Guite, DC Taxes, Thari Sitkil, IDES CEO Ahmedabad, Stephen Lun and Coordinator NYK, H Doungel were present at the event as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister V Hangkhanlian underlined the importance of creating employment opportunities for the youth while stating how the book "Confession of a dying mind-The blind faith of atheism'', wrote by Haulianlal Guite, is a progress in the field of academics.
The book will be an inspiration and an example for young educated youths to encourage themselves to venture in the career they want to pursue, he added.
He added that such taking part in kind of workshop and receiving encouraging ideas and words from knowledgable persons will benefit the youths and students.
Underlining the crisis of unemployment in the State, he said that the Central Government is concentrating on the 9th Plan for generating new employment opportunities for 10 million individuals not only in Civil Services, but also in other sectors of the Govt.The Minister wished the Civil Services aspirants success in their future endeavours.
During the second session of the workshop, DC, Shyam Lal Poonia talked about life as a civil servant while Haulianlal Guite spoke on the importance of academics and Rakesh balwal spoke on civil service preparations.
Thari Sitkil elaborated on the challenges of public service and Stephen on civil service as a career.
The participants interacted with the resource persons on the aspects of civil service preparation, examination, literary writing etc.
Numerous participants including DLOs, students, civil service aspirants, teachers were present in the workshop among others.
Later, the DC talked about the importance of education and the initiatives to be taken for the district this year.
