Imphal, July 01 2011:
A Customs check-post located in the border town of Moreh was attacked by two unidentified persons using firearms last night.
A police source informed that two unidentified youngsters came to Moreh Custom Preventive Post and asked for Superintendent RK Darendrajit at about 7.30 pm yesterday.
As one of the staff informed them that the Superintendent was away, the youngsters drew out a gun and opened fire at the post.
However, no one was injured in the shooting.
It is reported that a newly floated Kuki UG group served a monetary demand to the post about three months back.
It is suspected that the attack might be related to the monetary demand.
