Rozer remembered

The second death anniversary of Irom Rozer, who was shot dead on March 20, 2011, was observed today at Manipur Press Club.
The observance programme was graced by Human Rights activist Phulindro Konsam and general secretary of All Manipur Student Guardians' Organisation, O Yaima as the chief guest and president respectively.
General secretary of All Manipur Social Reformation and Development Samaj, Th Ramani Devi and State Chief Commissioner of Manipur State Scots and Guides, Th Ibopishak were the guests of honour.
Offering floral tribute to the portrait of Irom Rozer and observance of a two-minute silence marked the programme.
Torches were also lit at the place where Rozer was shot along Airport road in the evening.
Speaking at the occasion, Phulindro Konsam said that the right to live as enshrined in the Indian Constitution is not enjoyed by denizens of the State.
He said that Right to Live in the State has been under threat from three directions: from security forces, from militants and then from the kith and kin of people's representatives.
Various other speakers have also delivered speech at the occasion.
