Night curfew clamped

Imphal, April 16 2021:
In view of the continuous surge in the daily COVID-19 positive cases in the State since the past couple of weeks, the State Government has imposed night curfew from 8 pm to 4 am every day.
Chief Secretary and Chairperson, State Executive Committee of the State Disaster Management Authority Dr Rajesh Kumar issued an order to this effect today.
The night curfew would not be applicable to goods carrier vehicles including medical oxygen, all essential service establishments like pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, power supply, public health engineering, municipal offices engaged in cleaning, fire services, medical oxygen, veterinary services and manufacturing plants.
The night curfew would not be applied to Government officials who have been assigned specific duties of COVID-19 management or other emergency services, mentioned the order.
