JNGVO decries irregular electricity

Kakching, August 26 2017:
The irregular supply of electricity in Kakching district has been continuing for the past many days despite the assurance to provide commendable service by MSPDCL in the district .
A press release issued by secretary publicity of Joint Non-Government Voluntary Organisation stated that the people of Kakching district has been suffering due to the irregular supply of electricity by the company .
It alleged the DGM of the company stating that he has turned a blind eye to the needs and grievances of the people requesting to take up necessary steps and solve the problem at the earliest .
Questioning the motive of the DGM, JNGVO has enquired why the authority concerned has failed to supply electricity to the people even though electricity is available at the power sub-station in Kuraopokpi .
It further alleged the DGM for not taking up any developmental projects in the area and instead erected old electric posts in the area and left many posts without muffling .
Some of the new utility posts and the wires have been leaned over the road causing massive hindrances to the passersby, it added .
JNGVO further stated that the unavailability of technical staff at the MSPDCL office has left the people helpless whenever a technical problem occurs .
The organisation has sought the attention of the authority concerned and urged to look into the matter and take necessary action against the accused DGM .
It also warned to launch a series of agitation if their demands are not fulfilled at the earliest.
