JAC threatens

JAC for the selected candidates of Medical Department 2016 (GNM, ANM, Pharmacist, MTS) has threatened to launch intense agitation if the appointment letter and posting of the selected candidates are not provided at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the JAC's vice president Marchang said that the Medical Directorate had advertised recruitment to various posts on May 5, 2016 and the results for the tests and interviews were announced on December 20 the same year.
There are 162 GNM, 154 ANM, 82 pharmacists and 378 multi-tasking staff among those selected.
Even after all necessary processes like police verification, offer form issue etc were completed, none of the candidates have been provided with any appointment letter nor posting details till now, he added.
He claimed that the new State Government nor the Health Department have done anything regarding the matter.
The JAC had already submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister on April 10 with April 13 as the deadline for a positive response.
The JAC had further submitted another memorandum to the Director on April 20 due to lack of response from the authorities.
Marchang threatened to launch democratic forms of demonstration if appointment letters and posting details are not provided to the candidates by April 26 .
