While condemning the incident of setting on fire the files of the Directorate by some unidentified miscreants yesterday, Youth Affairs and Sports Education Teachers' Association (YASPETA) has asserted that untrained staff have been dominating the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports for more than 30 years now.
Addressing a press conference at Johnstone Hr Sec School today, secretary of YASPETA Th Tomba informed that files related to the annual confidential report (ACR) of 119 Graduate PETs (Physical Education Teachers) have been destroyed in the fire set fire unidentified miscreants yesterday.
The destruction has struck down the prospect of promotion of
Graduate PETs.
He alleged that Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports is being dominated by untrained staff for more than 30 years.
Staff in the Sports and Youth Sections have undergone training only for 10 months even as some untrained staff are holding important posts in the administrative section while the qualified Graduate PETs are working in the field, he pointed out.
