PTFC-19 continues awareness on COVID-19 prevention

Imphal, September 22 2020:
The Peoples Task Force For COVID-19 in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State Branch, IMA, AHPI Manipur Chapter and with the support of local clubs and Meira Paibi have been continuously conducting awareness programmes on measures to prevent from COVID-19 infection at various localities and villages in the State.
According to a release issued by PTFC-19, an awareness programme was held at Konthoujam Kangjeibung Mapan with the support of Loya Lam Apunba Nupi and Konthoujam Kangjeibung Mapan Chaokhat Khongthang Lup and Konthoujam Youth Union Club.
At Ireima Community Hall, Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai, the awareness programme was held with the support of Ireima Seva Association Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai.
At Moirang Khunou Keithel with Moirang Khunou Tera Makhong Meira Paibi Lup and Brothers Development Organisation.
At Yumnam Huidrom Thiyam Leishangkhong Awang Leikai Community hall with MALAMPAL, LUC and YWC.
The said programmes were attended by Oinam Chandramani; BK Moirangcha, convenor, PTFC-19; Dr Y Mohen, chairman, IRCS Manipur State Branch; Dr Ningthoujam Sushilla, MO in-charge, Wangoi PHC; Dr Thingujam Surbala, Wango CHC; Dr James Elangbam, secretary, AHPI; as presidium members and resource persons.
Further, at Mayai Lambi Thongkhong Laxmi Bazar it was organised with the support of MALAMPAL, Bazar Board Committee and Thongkhong Laxmi Bazar Legal Aid Clinic.
Dr Y Mohen, chairman, IRCS Manipur State Branch; Dr James Elangbam, secretary, AHPI Manipur Chapter; Longjam Abothe Meitei, co-convenor, PTFC-19; Tekcham Tombi Leima, Thongkhong Luxmi Bazar Nupi Lup Meira Paibi; attended the programme as resource persons and presidium members.
Furthermore, at Thiyam Konjil Lai Haraopham Mandop it was held with SWECA, YSDO, ANMC, SEWO, SOLO and THKYC.
Dr RK Nimai, secretary, IRCS Manipur State Branch; Narendra Ningomba, chairman, IRCS I/E Branch; Dr A Vivekananda, member IMA; N Bimol, co-convenor PTFC-19 and N Keinahanbi Leima, member ward No 1; Th Samanda, member ward no 2; attended as presidium members and resource persons.
The speakers at the programmes emphasized on the need to strictly follow the preventive measure like wearing masks, physical distancing and washing hands frequently with soap and also using of hand sanitizers.
With the number of infections reported at 100 to 200 on a daily basis in the State to people who have no travel history, these preventives measures needs to be follow very strictly, the speakers urged the people.
PTFC-19 has appealed the college authorities to enforce the preventive measures of COVID-19 while conducting the semester exams of Manipur University tomorrow.
The students are also advised to wear mask, maintain physical distance and use hand sanitizers during the exam.
