Imphal-Jiribam highway has improved : CM

Claiming that the condition of Imphal-Jiribam highway has improved considerably, Chief Minister N Biren informed that NHIDCL would complete repairing the dilapidated sections of the highway by the end of the current month.
Speaking to media persons at Old Secretariat today where he attended the Civil Service Day observance, Biren conveyed that he was assured by NHIDCL that the highway repairing work will be completed within the current month.
He said that his programme to make a direct assessment of Imphal-Jiribam highway tomorrow has been postponed as he has to attend a meeting of NITI Ayog at Delhi.
"Together with Works Minister Th Biswajit, I would make a field inspection of the highway once I return from Delhi", Biren stated.
"As decided by the Union Cabinet, beacon light has been removed from my vehicle.
As for beacon lights fitted on army vehicles, I can't say anything", continued the Chief Minister.
The coalition Government has also been working to chart out a common minimum programme, he added.
