IPS officer (DIG) Clay Khongsai said parents should be cautious and give extra effort to learn the places where they are sending their children to for studying.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a programme organised by Kuki Students Organisation (KSO), Imphal branch at Classic Hotel in Imphal to hnour the successful candidates of Class-X and Class-XII .
Clay Khongsai said large number of students sent outside the state for studying came back learning all the bad habits.
"The parents should not simply send their wards outside without knowing the atmosphere of the place they are sending their children to.
The IPS officer then advised the students not to depend too much on their teachers.
"One should try his/her best to be self-dependent," Clay stated.
Range Forest Officer (Forest department) Robert Sheilam was the function guest of honour while KSO-GHQ president Peter Mate was the president.
