Young Paite Association (YPA) celebrates 60 years of existence

The Young Paite Association (YPA) has yesterday celebrated the sixtieth year of its philanthropic service particularly to those that are in need, in an impressive ceremony at the YPA Headquarters Hall, Hiangtam Lamka.
At the heart of the celebration was a salute to the few individuals, who with simple of giving their hands to other that are in need � the founding fathers, and honoring those who facilitated the organization persists its selfless deeds.
A gun salute fired sixty times to mark the 60 years of YPA's establishment was also observed while a jubilee plague was unveiled by Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing.
Since 1953, the YPA has been helping local tribal communities fulfilled their charitable goals by directing philanthropic efforts toward community needs and infusing the sense of humanity and charity to its members, as they connect people who care with issues that matter.
The organisation thus, to this day, remains inseparable with the life of the Paite tribesmen.

Health minister Phungzathang Tonsing, Chairman ADC Churachandpur Langkhanpau Guite, other members of the district council, DC of Churachandpur, Jacintha Lazarus and the district SP L Mangkhogin Haokip, among others have attended the main celebration of the Diamond Jubilee on Sunday.
Parliamentary Secretary V Valte and Singngat MLA GS Haupu had on Saturday separately graced the celebration.
The months long diamond jubilee celebration has been planned to culminate into a two-day festivity, which effectively began yesterday.
Jubilee soccer and volley ball tournament, cultural competition, marathon, gates competition have been hosted since the last two months, while a jubilee souvenir in the form of a magazine and a video album was released yesterday.
A joint fellowship of Churches was another key event on today's celebration.
