Imphal, July 28 2011:
The Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has denied having any link with late Vareignam Mahongnao as alleged by the NSCN-IM.
The murder of Vareignam Mahongnao and his wife was an inhuman act perpetrated by robbers who cannot judge what is right and what is wrong.
A press release issued by MNRF's information and publicity secretary Maxstone compared NSCN to a ship lost in the middle of a sea.
NSCN-IM's inability to judge any situation correctly was manifested in its changing demands for sovereignty, then integration and finally alternative arrangement.
The brutal murder of Vareingam Mahongnao and his wife right in front of their children might not have ruffled the conscience of NSCN-IM a bit but it was utterly shocking and surprising to MNRF.
The recent case was not the first time innocent civilians were killed on the alleged charge having links with MNRF.
All such killings were, in reality, executed for personal enmity or personal gains, and these killings had nothing to do with the MNRF.
Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Kishan, first Ukhrul ADC Chairman Khathing Jagor, William of Kangpat, Ngaraisan of Phinge and many others were all victims of NSCN-IM, the outfit asserted.
Unlike NSCN-IM, MNRF is not a way-lost organisation which does have any respect for human lives and human rights.
MNRF is an organisation rooted in the history of the land and it is associated with valley-based organisations based on history.
"Is it not because NSCN-IM leadership do not understand their origin that the 15 years long peace talk with the Government of India could not yield any positive achievement ?" the MNRF asked.
While the peace talk between NSCN-IM and Government of India has been dragging on and on, many nations like East Timor, Kosovo and South Sudan have achieved sovereignty.
Their only achievement in these long years is confiscation of contract/supply works and schemes, it alleged.
Stating that can only apologise after killing people, the MNRF further asked if NSCN-IM has any policy for the children of those people killed by them.
