Death toll spikes by two, 140 new cases recorded, active cases at 805

Imphal, April 25 2021:
The State's COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 385 while the total number of active cases has jumped by 100 from 705 to 805 during the last 24 hours.
According to a press release by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, two men aged 51 and 59, both belonging to Imphal West, expired at Raj Medicity and RIMS Hospital during the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, 140 people including eight personnel of CAPF were tested positive during the last 24 hours at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Imphal West, Maipakpi Hospital, Raj Medicity, Shija Hospital, Little Clinic, Hillside Hospital, Babina Diagnostics, Escent Diagnostics, RD Wing, Jivan Hospital, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Ukhrul, Chandel, Tengnoupal and Churachandpur.
The 132 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West (59), Imphal East (44), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (8), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (5), Kangpokpi (1), Senapati (3), Churachandpur (5), Tengnoupal (1) and Chandel (1) .
Following recovery, 38 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (21), CAPF (3), RIMS (3) and Shija Hospital (11) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 30,421 (general population 26,902 and Central security personnel 3,519) .
It includes 805 active cases (general population 736 and Central security personnel 69) and 29,231 recovered cases (general population 25,785 and Central security personnel 3,446) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 96.08 per cent.
On the other hand of the 60 incoming passengers tested at the Tulihal Airport in the last 24 hours, none were found positive.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 20 by Indigo flight 6E-6358 in rows 18-24, April 22 by Indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 2-10 and Air India flight AI-889 in rows 12-18 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers immediately.
As per latest information provided by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, the total number of people who have been vaccinated against the virus in the State has reached 1,29,099 .
Further, all persons above 45 years have been advised to get vaccinated immediately at vaccination centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and select private hospitals.
