Imphal, October 18 2015:
BJP is one political party which has criminal instinct and is anti-Manipur to the core, asserted MPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.
Meanwhile, JD-U Manipur unit president M Tombi has declared that his party would support Congress in the forthcoming by-election to Thangmeiband and Thongju Assembly Constituencies.
Speaking at a political conference held today at the complex of Ibudhou Wangbren, Akampat within Thongju A/C, Gaigkhangam asserted that the Government of India's refusal to divulge any detail of the peace accord signed with NSCN-IM only exposed BJP's anti-Manipur position.
Congress party would not tolerate any form of disturbance to the territorial integrity of Manipur which may come in the form of the peace accord.

Questioning the BJP Government's decision to keep the contents of the peace accord a well guarded secret, the Deputy Chief Minister asked whether BJP was scheming for more bloodshed in Manipur.
When the contents of the peace accord come to light with the passage of time, people would start hunting for BJP.
By then, all its leaders will go hiding.
It was during the previous BJP Government at the Centre that many precious lives were lost in addition to destroying a number of public properties during the violent civil movement of June 2001.Soon after BJP returned to power, a peace accord embedded with hidden agenda was signed.
This has only multiplied people's suspicions in Manipur.
Several agreements were signed during the UPA Government and all their contents were made public, Gaikhangam claimed.
Categorically stating that both NPF and BJP are driven by the agenda to balkanise Manipur, he pointed out that the two parties are in league.
NPF's primary agenda is integration of Naga inhabited areas by fragmenting Manipur.
The alliance between NPF and BJP is ominous for Manipur.
Electing BJP to power in Manipur would amount to endorsing the peace accord, he continued.
By making himself disqualified before the end of his five-year term, the former Thongju A/C MLA was making a mockery of the people's mandate given to him.
Hinting that notification for the by-election may be issued soon, the MPCC president called upon the gathering to grab this opportunity to elect the Congress candidate.
Just as JD-U and Congress have been fighting the Bihar Legislative Assembly election jointly, JD-U would support INC in the forthcoming by-election to Thongju A/C and Thangmeiband A/C, said JD-U Manipur president M Tombi who also attended the political conference.
Former Minister and Congress party's prospective candidate Bijoy Koijam said that Manipur witnessed turmoil and violence every time BJP came to power at the Centre.
Claiming that he is the only candidate to replace the disqualified MLA, Bijoy Koijam asserted that it is his duty to ensure welfare of the people of Thongju A/C.Nambol A/C MLA N Loken and Mahila Congress president L Tilotama too spoke at the political conference.
