The waves of moonlight had been washing,
The breeze had been lulling
Our cottage once long ago.
Today covered with clouds of smoke,
By wearing the mask showing love for mother
Bursting into crocodile tears,
By those who lay foundation stones
For their private buildings
Their neighboring brethren causing to drown
Lit by the leaders of each community
The sparks turned into large flames
Burn today, our cottage at large.
The boys, the girls
Being in their tears
While their dishes are grabbed
And the night soils are thrown on their heads
By the enemies who take chances
Of arising up the-communal tension,
With full of frenzied activity
After weeping and wailing mournfully
They kick off burning their own property
Burning their cottage.
Apart from this
They burn their bodies
Throwing themselves at the fire.
O, Mother my lovely mother
Is there any man in the universe
Who does not love his mother.
The blood runs in your kids' vein
It's your blood, mother.
Like flowers we bloom
Upon the waves of your compassion,
The songs and the dances your wards performed.
The pictures we painted
Are all for you mother,
Amongst the shedding drops of tear
There's also the stream of poetry
Which loves you mother.
So I feel wonder,
Those who attempt to harass you
To defame you
Could not be discarded by you.
I would like to chide them bitterly
What the hell they are!
Moving like chrysalises of a fly
What the greatest fool,
What the lowest soul!
They are your sons’ mother
Who take your garments off
Who set you afire alive
These sons of yours are more serious
Than that of the enemies.
