The first session of the second day of the workshop started with a presentation on Visual Story Telling. Mr. Nerkar highlighted that story telling is an art. He further elaborated on the following topics:
(i) 4 Ps of Visual Story telling –
a) Plot – the basic theme of the story/narrative.
b) People – the main characters involved.
c) Places – the different locations where the story happens and their importance for interlinking the plot.
d) Perception – visual storytelling from the director’s perception by using a camera and light.
(ii) 5 Cs of Cinematography –
a) Camera angle – camera placement
b) Continuity – continuity of visuals
c) Composition – varied visual informations.
d) Close-up - isolating the most significant action of the scene that should receive maximum emphasis from the viewers.
e) Cutting – juxtaposing of different single visual units.
After his presentation, Mr.Nerkar gave a demonstration regarding visual compositions. Each and every participants was asked to click four different stills shots of their choice.

The shots taken by the participants were previewed and discussed in the afternoon session.
Expert’s Favourites.
The afternoon session was concluded with the viewing of an episode of “Amanat”, a TV serial, in which Mr. Nerkar was the Director of Photography.
