Women
Moirangthem Minakshi Devi *
When the Almighty God sat down to make a woman,
He gave her empathy, love and compassion.
By the time he finished creating her,
He had a little magic left for other.
He gave her the ability to be an angelic mother,
To nurture and take care of all other.
With a woman's word, she heals the most scarred of mind,
With a woman's hand, she soothe wounds of all kind.
Women divine! We hear your loud voice;
You are a goddess of beauty in everyone's choice.
You have strength to move a mountain in our heart,
Your beaming face kicks up the most spectacular start.
But alas! With shadow of patriarchy looming over her,
We shall now take a stand to respect the nature of a womanhood,
And hope this tribute gives emphasis to the good,
For as in a coin there is always two different sides,
Of the many mysteries, one of that she tries to hide.
Oh wonder women! Your magnaminous soul,
Shout out aloud to say you aren't born to get destroyed,
For you are a wonder Woman and not a toy.
