Why Muivah is not welcome in Manipur

Mr Sanjoy Hajarika's observation that the Meiteis needs to welcome Mr Th Muivah seems to spell out very casually or just to test the gravity of the ground reality before accepting the greater Nagalim demand by the government of India in the forcomming negotiation with NSCN (IM), which he need to explain further.

It is also not fair to make conclusion that the so called Naga integration in the name of Christ (religion) in a secular country like India by disintegrating the neighbouring states (Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh) to be a issue between Meiteis and Nagas. If that is the perception than it is better not to talk with such people and let Manipur be released from the clutch of India and let the future of Manipur be decided by its own people.

Manipur everybody knows (not to repeat again and again) was an independent country and was forcefully annexed by India after British left the sub continent. Whereas Nagaland was created in a very latter stage from the then Naga hill district of Assam after India get independence from British. That is the reason why the history of Nagas is quite unique. Very unique because the history was created out of nowhere that too by gun.

Let us refresh our knowledge of Manipur history (in brief not with data wise) that before British came to Manipur there were no Nagas and Kukis but numerous tribes numbering about 37 or so and the whole country belongs to Maharaja of Manipur. As everybody knows that British was famous for its divide and rule polity, accordingly they have seen an opportunity to rule Manipur for long by dividing the tribes into two main groups namely Nagas and Kukis.

Their polity was further enhanced because of the then prevailing discrimination of these tribes by the then Maharaja of Manipur (Hindu convert) and even prevented them from conversion to Hinduism. Taking that opportunity, the British welcome them to their fold and converted them to Christianity and thus showing the seed of hatred towards the Meiteis (Hindu convert). In fact this shall not be blamed to the then Meitei (Hindu convert) but to be solely blamed to the mainland Hindu India as an touchability and castism is the by-product of Hinduism and still practice till to-day in India .

However, in the modem history, Manipur belongs to every Manipuris and there is no particular place for so called Naga inhabitate areas etc. etc. This is the concocted expression of very very few people they thought they can not impress their views in a normal democratic way but try to bulldozed their view through violence means. In order to impress the outside world and to prove that only the so called Nagas are inhabited in the dream land of Nagalim or south Nagaland, they started ethnic cleansing by serving notice either to convert the other tribes to Nagas or quite the land resulting to the infamous Naga Kuki clashed of 1980s.

The ethnic cleansing then carried out by the NSCN (IM) were more inhuman and barbarous that of Nazis of German toward Jews. Nazis of German at least used firing squad while killing the Jews so that the death comes very fast and less traumatic whereas the NSCN (IM) wipe out the entire non Naga villages in one night by burning the whole village along with the villagers after nightlong torture rape and anybody who try to flee had been chopped down by intentionally using crude weapons like huge stone, clubs, spade etc then thrown them back into the fire. They never used gun while killing people.

This is the mindset of NSCN (IM) and their leader Th. Muivah, who boastfully claimed to the world that they are peace loving people and fighting their goal of creating an unique history of Nagas. It is a shameful that such a criminal far barbaric than the Nazi Germany has been given due welcome by the Govt. Of India in New Delhi for talk and appeasement and allowed him to seat in the places where great leaders of the nation who are famous for nonviolence used to sit.

In fact he shall be put into trial and give punitive punishment similar to the line of the trial given to Nazis as his crime of ethnic cleansing are far more inhumane that too in the name of Christ for Nagalim. Very recently such barbaric mindset of these .criminal NSCN (IM) again sprouting while killing Dr. Kishan, SDO Kashom Khullen of Ukhrul District.

Manipur along with two of his staff. Dr. Kishan along with his two subordinate staffs were handed over to NSCN (IM) by the then DC of Ukhrul from his office at Ukhrul, they were torture for three days in Ukhrul district and then brought to Senapati district and killed them in a very inhumane way by smashing their head with a big stone and cut by spade and abandoned them near a Kuki village hoping that the killing may be suspected to the Kukis thereby resulting to communal clash between Meiteis and Kuki.

Such are the points, unfortunately the outside world including our respected Sanjoy Hajarika intended not to see as the proverb that everything is fair for the creation of an unique history of Nagalim and every shall be blamed to the so called Majority Meiteis. Here too he might not be aware that the so called majority Meiteis are a minority if you are considering the population of Manipur and Nagaland together as a combine conflict zone.

Further it is also fact that the Meiteis are in a disadvantage lot in administration in their own state as all the IAS/IPS (or any other central services) are all TribaIs (because of ST quota benefit whereas the Meiteis are deprived of this facility) and Non Manipuris (Mayangs) despite of majority tag. So to whom actually is to be blame of the development of hill districts of Manipur, where all the key posts are hold by the Tribal by virtue of their ST quota benefit.

This is a long debatable topic, where the present write up will not deal with at the moment. The every day genocide carried out by the NSCN (IM) to the people of Manipur without showing any humanity in the dream of Naga integration for Christ are far more barbarous than the genocide carried out by the Nazis during IInd world war as such it shall be condemned by the world and punish under war crime.

The methodology of genocide (ethnic cleansing) they carried out towards a non-Naga village near Tamei (Tamenglong Dist. In one night the NSCN (lM) burned down the entire village along with its inhabitation and those trying to flee were mercilessly chopped down by crude weapons like stick, big stone, spade etc. without using gun, unfortunately only two/three villagers escape that horror and narrate the story to the entire world) and very recent killing of Dr. Kishan, SDO Kashom Khullen (Ukhrul Dist.) along with his two staffs by smashing their heads by a big stone and spade at senapati after picking them up from the office of the then DC Pankaj Pal, DC office Ukhrul are far fur barbaric than to those of the crime carried out by the then Nazis of German.

Doing such inhuman act by the so called God fearing and peace loving organisation like NSCN (IM) are justified enough to escape from the war crime? Or they have to be honoured? The Nazis at least used the firing squad (guns) while killing the Jews, but the NSCN (IM) tortured the victims and killed slowly by using crude weapons like stone, club, spade, pick axe etc. you imagine the trauma of those innocent victim.

This clearly shows the true beastly violent nature of the NSCN (IM) and their nature of crime committed in Manipur in the name of Greater Nagalim / South Nagaland. Under the circumstances why not they be treated as criminals and put into trials give capital punishment. It is also big question mark to be put to the western Christian society i/c American people who were very vocal to the atrocities of crime committed by the Nazis to the Jews during IInd World War and very active in hunting down those involved even today are totally mum in this regard, is it only because the NSCN (IM) are their Christian Brethrens.

The attitude of the Govt. Of India, knowing all these and remain a silent spectator only because the "Indian Army and NSCN (IM) are in cease fire" and the others are the state matter will not solve the Naga issue rather it will put more "ghee to the fire" and the alienation of the people from the mainland India will further intense in the future. The Hindu mainland shall not fall into the trap of crocodile tear shed by the NSCN (IM) but please go through the ground reality and the barbaric atrocities as carrying out by them since long.

Some of the very recent barbaric atrocities carried out by NSCN (IM) to the people of Manipur, for which why they shall not be tried under international law for war crime to humanity:

# Brutal barbaric killing of Dr. Kisban, SDO Kashom Khullen along with his two subordinate staff by smashing their head by "big stone" hacked by spade near Senapati. After they were handed over to NSCN (IM) by the then DC Ukhrul Pankaj Kr Pal from his DC office at Ukhrul and after tortured for three days in Ukhrul.

# Indefinite blockade of NH-39 & NH-53 since 11th April 2010, Resulting to no petrol, diesel, kerosine, cooking gas no rice, life saving drugs and life become standstill and peoples particularly the children are dying. Is it not a mass killing ?(in which part of the country such act will be allowed by Govt. Of India?)

# Pushing down of fully loaded two trucks of Manipur below steep hill gorge near Kohima. Miraculously drivers and helpers of the trucks survived the vehicles and goods are lost for ever. (such acts are to be treated as play joy or crime?).

# Burning down of fully loaded (Coca Cola) truck of Manipur which was parked in front of the police station at Piphidema, Nagaland on 24.05.10. as the truck was stranded due to the blockade.

# Foiled attempt of blowing up of bridge along NH-39 near Kangpokpi by one Dany Mongsang, NSCN (IM) cadre on the intervening night of 17 & 18th may 10. In the process cadre was blown up but not the bridge.

# Pushing down of huge stones from the hills on top of the trucks passing through NH-53 near Noney by NSCN (IM) in the process twenty trucks were damaged and the trucks drivers and handy men were injured seriously and some are mamed for life.

# Pulling down of poor truck drivers and handymen then taken them to the steep hill gorge and beaten them as animal and looting of good by simply pushing down from the trucks at their will.

# Collecting extortion money (ranges from Rs.1O,OOO/- to Rs.30,000/- per truck depending upon the goods) from the trucks plying along the NHs by openly opening temporary office along the NHs.(some are near the Indian Army Check post).

# Burning down of Govt. Properties like schools, offices, primary health centre etc. then again blamed the state govt. For neglect.

# Hijacking of Minister Erabofs jeep by fifty armed NSCN(IM) cadre at None on 26th May 2010 and abandoned at Kotlien after damaging the jeep.

There are many but the above are the few which are very recently committed crimes by the NSCN(IM) so as to put question mark to all the people of the planet whether this acts ofNSCN(IM) are appreciable or justified?? For the cause of creating a unique Naga history out of air. Are we going to forget the barbarian killings of so many innocent people including women and children in the name of ethnic cleansing or just to driven out the non-Nagas from the imaginative land of NagaIim as a justified cause?

Are we going to justify the daily torture of the poor innocent truck drivers of Manipur who are transporting essential goods along the NHs through Nagaland for ilIegal extortion per trip, beating, torturing, humiliating, looting of the goods, pushing down the trucks to steep hill gorge and burning down the vehicles if they defy the extortion?

Are we going to justify the act of so frequent indefinite blockade ofNHs on flimsy issues (or Mr. Muiva sneeze at Mao Gate?) as a pressure tactic and just to harass the people of Manipur as they know that Manipur does not have any alternative route other than the existing NH-39 passing through their dream land ''Nagalim for Christ"? Under the various barbaric crime committed by Mr. Th. Muivah and his NSCN(IM) cohort in Manipur, they are wanted criminal and waiting for punishment as such he or they can not enter into Manipur. If they forcefully enter Manipur he or they will be immediately arrested or be shooting down in encounter.

At present the state of Manipur is still under the Indian domain it is the sole responsibility of Govt, of India to check all these barbaric atrocities committed by the NSCN(lM) to the state of Manipur and can not point finger to state govt. On the ground that the state have to do what they have to do, otherwise please leave Manipur as it is before it was forcibly annexed to India so that we can decide our future either by taking help from China or Mynmar or both.

Lastly if the Govt. Of India also want to support the creating of unique Naga history then why not J&K, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim be also created their own unique history by giving them to Pakistan and China as well.
