Why I am, What I am ?
Potshangbam Nyaydhar *
So much for nothing or else?
Why am I lost in the temptations of the digital world?
Why mobile is not unloading from my head?
No more in the mood to study,
Parents, teachers and elders no more important,
Only for mobile I live,
Even dearer than my own life,
So facilitating is this "I-tech",
Completely liberated from study,
Who cares for matric exam?
I live only for mobile,
Day in and day out,
When I am supposed to be studying,
I go get hooked to my handset,
So intimate is the "mobile-space",
Lost! Lost! Lost! Is this soul?
Who could have become another Einstein or else,
Who cares for Abdul Kalam's wings of fire?
Those immortal advices to the youths,
The boyish ex-president,
The missile-man's great wisdom words,
Are blocked by the digital opacity,
In this head full of follies,
Lost! Lost! Lost! Is this soul?
Who cares for matric exam and parents worries,
The only thing which is of worth to me,
Is this idiotic-hand set?
For setting me free,
From the burden of dreams,
A even over shooting,
The would-be stars of my life,
I am not sure and bewildered,
Whether I am free or in techno-bondage,
I wish that, this techno-ghost is exorcised from me.
