Who Am I?
H Ranjita *
O was born a child, a human child.
They called me a girl, a woman,
Then I become a wife, a mother;
A citizen of the world,
A citizen of India,
Of the Northeast, a Manipuri ..
But I feel I'm an individividual
With a name and a surname
With all the uniqueness.
Can I simply say I'm a human?
And yes, I've experienced all,
All the names they call me –
A child, a girl, a woman,
A wife, a mother,
A citizen of the world,
A citizen of India,
Of the Northeast, a Manipuri..
But at the end of the day,
I am simply a human.
Can I stay like one for the rest of my life?
Is it possible?... I doubt, but why?
