Whither beyond the Quests ?
Potshangbam Nyaydhar *
The stars twinkle;
As if in mockery,
And the human quests;
No bridge ever made,
Beyond the wonder stars,
Yet, ever thirsty;
Driven by the blind passion,
Unquenchable urge to know,
The eternal desire,
Life's "will to be",
The unconscious thirst for life,
"Leibaaklei" bursting free,
The harden Lamphel earth,
On the hot summer days,
The tender shoots breaking through,
The just laid concrete roads,
What lies ahead the yonder galaxies?
The "elan vital" drives along,
Breaking through the physical cage,
The unending history of pains,
Do not desist the blind thirsts,
Oh! The "journey man",
Whither thy spirit treads?
Which errand ye seeketh?
Why entrapped is the soul,
In the gaugemire of "to be" and "not be"
Alas! the journey goes on,
With no sense of destiny,
But, life still goes on.
