Where are you? my red comrade
Chaoba Phuritshabam *
Morning dew on the grasses
Flashback memory
You suddenly visit my nocturnal dream
Standing in front of my door
The dead of the night
Reminds of your ever smiling face
You try to wipe away
Woes and pains in my life
I wish to live those moments
Where we belonged together
Anticipating another day
you would be calling me
From
across the road,
across rivers and woods
Let’s walk again that path
You chose for us.
I will not deny today
To follow you
count your footsteps
as the time passes
grow old with you
As the life takes a toll over me and you?
where are you?
my red comrade
* My red comrade refers to lost connection of my ideology and someone I adored and called a red comrade during college time.
