On Sunday, 10th September, 2023, the Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, on the earnest request of the inmates of the relief camp set up at the Laphupat Tera High School, presented 2 weaving looms (Pheesakol) to enable them in forming a collective Livelihood Support mechanism.
The simple ceremony of handing over & blessing the looms was performed by Swami Devapriyanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, in the presence the President of the Managing Committee of the Mission, Sri P. Dhanakumar Singh (Retd. IPS), other monks and the nodal officer of the camp, Sri. Ningthoujam Kumar Singh, along with the inmates of the camp.
The team also interacted with them about their needs, especially of the children staying in the camp, and conveyed to them about the service ideals of Ramakrishna Mission being a Non-Political, Non-Sectarian, Spiritual Organisation which serves the needy, irrespective of caste, creed, race or religion, in a spirit of worship to ‘Living Gods’ as per the dictum of Swami Vivekananda, ‘Service to Man is Service to God’.
