Fifty years after the first “Indo-Naga” cease fire came into effect on September 6,1964 (but later abrogated in 1972), the day however continues to be observed with solemnity.
At the Chedema Peace Camp, which was the designated camp of the undivided NNC during the cease fire, Rev. Khrütsoi Lurüo chaplain NBCC lamented that instead of first confessing their sins, Nagas instead try to confess the sins of others. Implying the consequences, he said “we have lost our political vision and goal because of division and disunity among ourselves”.
