Truth of Life
Parthajit Borah *
Blowing hopes in the horizon often
Echoed to silence the ethos,
Dwindled deeds of unornamented heart
beseized the dreams for inscribing
the lingua of agony.
Age celebrates days, month commemorates events, night chases
the days to fortell the impending storm.
Whistling of the bailiffs awake my frigid
fear for Smelling the burnt hearts.
I set out the nest of perturbance
for opened threshold of inclination.
Declining twigs of luscious roses
Purportedly present at my forlorn,
Soul is coloured by the whisk of yearning for a night of spring, eye is adorned
to dry the mist of my eyes.
I awe to smile inexorable grin at my
Dry lips, darkened moments of the night
swat my human spirit and drummed
my heart in a rhythmic tune of union.
