Trio in autorickshaw threatens Nagaland student
The Hindu | BANGALORE, August 22, 2012
A young first year pre-university course student from Nagaland was intimidated by three men in an autorickshaw, near his residence in HRBR Layout, 4th Block, late on Tuesday evening. Vizo (17) was returning after buying vegetables from a store near his home, when three unidentified young men in an autorickshaw stopped near him. They asked him if he was from Tibet, and when he said he was from Nagaland, they yanked him by his t-shirt collar and tried to pull him into the autorickshaw.
Though the teen was too shaken to speak, his brother, also a student, told The Hindu that children playing in the neighbourhood said the autorickshaw took a U-turn and came into the lane, and one of them asked them whether the area had other northeast residents. In fact, those with Vizo said they first tried to contact the police on the general control room number, and then on 100. They did not get any response from both numbers. The Hennur police said they had filed an FIR.
