'Chanu Creations'' Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai, Imphal West, Manipur organized Certificate Distribution Ceremony for FRESH training (Scheduled Castes beneficiaries) on Two Shaft Handloom Weaver under National Scheduled Castes Finance & Development Corporation (NSFDC) Skill Development Training Programme for the year 2017-18 in Dakhin Jamuhandal (Gouranagar) on 29th June, 2018 and Kaki Tangiya on 30th June, 2018 of Hojai district, Assam.
The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) was set up in 1989 as a "Company not for profit" under Section 25 of the Companies Act 1956 (i.e. now Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013) with the objective of financing income generating activities of SC beneficiaries living below Double the Poverty Line limits (presently Annual Family Income of up to Rs.98,000/- for Rural Areas and up to Rs.1,20,000/- for Urban Areas).

The mission of the NSFDC is to promote prosperity among Scheduled Castes by improving flow of financial assistance and through skill development & other innovative initiatives.
Under NSFDC Skill Development Training Programme for the year 2017-18, Chanu Creations had been trained FRESH training (300 hours skill development training) on Two Shaft Handloom Weaver to 100 Scheduled Castes beneficiaries in Gouranagar (training period: 24/12/2017 to 13/02/2018) and Kaki Tangiya (training period: 26/12/2017 to 15/02/2018) of Hojai district, Assam in collaboration with Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC).
In these training programme, the trainees are provided free training and stipend @Rs.1500/- per month, subject to 90% attendance of trainees in each month.

Altogether 97 Scheduled Castes trainees were awarded certificates at the events.
The programme was attended by Ex. President, Dhalpukhuri Gram Panchayat Shri Babul Majumdar as Chief Guest, Smt. Chirom Indira Proprietor/CEO of Chanu Creations (National Awardee 2015, Nari Shakti Puraskar Awardee 2017, DMA All India Women Entrepreneurs Awardee 2018, Vasundhara Hall of Fame Awardee 2018) as President and K. Norotton Singh of Social Worker, Smt. Padma Devi proprietor of M/s Padma Handloom Industry, Dakhin Jamuhandal, W. Joyshankar Luwang Project Manager of Chanu Creations were grace the function as Guest of Honours respectively.
