They say
Debina Sanasam *
They say she was like the moon
Calm and gentle with a hue of white
But they never knew that
She was like the lioness
With steady steps and cautious movement
Gleaming eyes fixed on the prey
Ready for the final moment
They say she was like the rain
Soft and gentle to the touch
But they never knew that
She was like the crashing waves
That always reach the shore
But never stays for long
And leave behind marks
That are hard to trace
They say she was like the sad song
Sweet n soulful to the heart
But they never knew
That she was like a love song too
Long gone and forgotten to the lips
But a tune embedded in the soul
