Teenage follies
Potshangbam Nyaydhar *
Why this life of disobedience?
Always aggressive and abusive,
Never willing to listen to
Either parents or teachers.
In the height of teen trouble
Driving parents into sleepless nights
A messy life,
Caught at the crossroads,
For which errand I disobeyed those respectful ?
The rebel at the cost of what ?
Bargaining a promising life
For an easy going
And aimless life,
Spending days and nights
In the digital intoxications,
Escaping into those intimate space,
Of the cyber space
Leaving high and dry
A bright potential future,
Nipping the promising land
For the sake of the follies of teen life.
