Shri Takhelchangbam Kunjabihari Sharma was born on June 6, 1942 at Pukhrambam Mayai Leikai of Bishnupur District.
He was born to Takhelchangbam Irabot Sharma and Takhelchangbam ongbi Mani Devi.
He learnt narrative art form from his father at the very age of 13 years old.
Shri Yumnam Podo Singh was his first teacher and later learnt the art from famous gurus like
Leihaothabam Jatishor Sharma,
Ngaseppam Tombi Singh,
Heikrujam Bijoy Singh,
Leihaothabam Tomchou Sharma,
Khumbong Khomei Singh,
Nungleppam Ibochou Singh,
Hanjabam Birchandra Sharma,
Leishangthem Ibohal Singh and
Laishram Ibotombi Singh.
Kunjabihari Sharma performed the narrative art form at Shri Shri Govindaji Mandap, villages and at other various localities.
He also performed at Shridham Nabadwip, Shri Jagannath Khetra, Brindavan and Radha Kund.
Kunjabihari founded a Vidyalaya on narrative art form at his own residence and many students learned under him.
He was honoured with Bhaktaratna Upadhi (title) by Manipur State Lairik Thiba-Haiba Sabha,
Wari Liba Upadhi 2003 by Pouranik Parishad Sampradai and
bagged 2nd position in narrative art competition organised by the Pouranik Parishad Sampradai in 2006.
He also bagged the Abhinandan Patra 2005 presented by Repertory of Wari Liba.
In recognition of his contribution in the field of narrative art, Manipur Sahitya Parishad Imphal honoured him with Kalabhusan (wari liba) title in its 83rd Annual Conference.
