Humble Appeal
It is with extreme exasperation born out of unbearable pains and anguish in our hearts and minds caused by the inhuman acts of violence meted out to innocent unarmed persons, particularly, old and young men and women, girls and boys in Manipur that we representing all religious and faith communities have been appealing all concerns to end the violence at the earliest to save humanity and dignity for all and for future generations.
We also resolve that we will continue to persuade all concerns to end this violence to initiate dialogue and reconciliation processes in collaborations with all religious and faith leaders at the national and international levels.
We, once again appeal, by bowing down to your feet in our prayers, to save lives and protect the dignity of unarmed innocent common peoples on all sides from this destructive violence.
We humbly beg each of you fighting as combatants demonstrating extreme sacrifice for a cause to kindly treat with dignity the aged persons, women, young girls and boys, sick, injured and disabled, including the combatants of adversarial groups who are disarmed, injured and captured as per the standards and procedures of the international humanitarian laws.
We also pray especially for and stand in solidarity with the women who survived extreme forms of inhuman treatment and humiliation. May God grant them to reasons and courage to live stronger to dispel the darkness in the minds of perpetrators and lead the younger generation to light of humanity.
We are sure such acts of chivalry and bravery of saving life and protecting human dignity on the part of combatants will give hope and inspirations to the present and future generations to live on together as human being with dignity that we all deserve equally.
We believe that it is in saving life and respecting human dignity that wars can be won with higher moral standards that inspire the future generations. Our humble appeal and prayers are also for all political and social leaders who are supporting this violence on all sides to make efforts to end the violence to save human dignity.
We are sure people who are fighting with arms from both sides will also show exemplary courage to also promote inclusive dialogue processes to resolve the conflicts in mutual respect for human dignity, rights and interests.
