State Level Moot-Court Competition
Under the sponsorship of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA), the Department of Law, Manipur University organized State Level Moot-Court Competition on 11th November, 2021 at 10.00 AM at the Dept. of Law, Manipur University. The Competition was organized as a part of Pan India Legal Awareness and Outreach Programme under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority.
Prof. (Dr.) Naorem Lokendra Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University; Shri Ojesh Mutum, Member Secretary, Manipur State Legal Services Authority & Dr. Yumnam Premananda Singh, Associate Professor & Head of Department, Manipur University graced the inaugural function as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and President respectively.
The Competition was participated by 8 teams of Law students from Dept. of Law, Manipur University; LMS Law College, Imphal; Royal Academy of Law, Oinam & Vishal Law Institute. Shri S. Imocha Singh, Judge, Fast Track Special Court No. 1, Manipur (POCSO) presided as Judge of the Competition.
State Level Moot-Court Competition
Team from LMS College, Imphal comprising of Huidrom Malemleima Chanu, Thongam Zingo & Lamabam Rebecca Devi was declared as the winner of the Moot Court Competition and the team from Dept. Law, Manipur University comprising of Carolin Yanglem, Angelina Naorem & R.K. Neena was declared as second position holder of the Competition.
Manipur State Legal Services Authority is thankful to the Department of Law, Manipur University and all the participating Law Colleges & the students for their support & participation in the competition.
