Spring festival: Unity through culture

Folk dances of artistes from the entire northeastern states and Indo-French ballet show by “Swan Lake Revisited” marked the inauguration of the North East Spring Festival in a glittering function held at NEZCC, administrative building Wednesday.
The festival would continue till March 23. Living true its motto “Unity through Culture”, the artistes in their colorful attire showcased a blend of different cultures which received a big round of applause from the gathering.
It was then followed by cultural dances by the Pochury tribe of Nagaland and Ghantu dance of Sikkim, Bihu dance of Assam and Dhol Pung of Manipur, Garo of Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.
