TSpecial Lok Adalat for Imphal East, Imphal West & Bishnupur
Special Lok Adalat for Imphal East, Imphal West & Bishnupur districts is organized today by Manipur State Legal Services Authority in association with Imphal East, Imphal West & Bishnupur District Legal Services Authorities at Lamphel Court Complex and Bishnupur Court Complex.
Cases relating to bank recovery, civil disputes, family matters (except divorce), insurance matters, domestic violence cases, BSNL bill cases, NI Act (cheque bouncing cases) are put up in the Lok Adalat.
In today’s Special Lok Adalat, a total of 91 cases were taken up, out of which 43 cases were settled which includes 3 matrimonial cases pending in the court. The total settled amount in today’s National Lok Adalat is Rs. 24,86,400/-(Rupees twenty four lakhs eighty-six thousand four hundred) only.

It is to be mentioned that today’s Special Lok Adalat organized especially for the cases which were not put up in the last National Lok Adalat held on 13th August, 2022. As per the Calendar prescribed by National Legal Services Authority, the next National Lok Adalat will be held on 12th November, 2022.
Manipur State Legal Services Authority is thankful to the Presiding Officers, Judicial Officers, Ld. Advocates, all the parties, Officials of Bank/ Insurance Companies, News and Print Media for making this programme a success.
It is also requested to all the News and Print Media to give wider dissemination of Lok Adalat as well as availability of legal services and Legal Services Institutions in general so that access to justice is enabled for all.
