Skill Training Programmes at D M Community College : Fish & Sea Food Processing Technician
The D M Community College at Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal in association with the Unique Trust and Food Industry Capacity & Skill Initiatives (FICSI), New Delhi has launched a series of 12 hours i.e. “3 days @ 4 hours per day” training programmes on the Job role: Fish & Sea Food Processing Technician under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Recognition to Prior Learning (RPL) phase – 1 of the Skill India Mission.
The training programme was launched by the Controller of Examinations Dhanamanjuri University Dr Asem Nabachandra Singh as Chief Guest and the Nodal Officer of Dhanamanjuri Community College and Director DDU Centre for KAUSHAL Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh presided over the launching function.
Dr Nabachandra giving his speech urged the educated unemployed youths, drop outs and many other people including retired employees may join the training course to upgrade their skills of processing fish and sea food items and hence, enhance the economy of the state.
In his presidential address Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh said that the training programme which kicked off this day the 18th December 2019 shall continue till the last week of January 2020 in the batch-wise and shift wise manner to cover a targeted beneficiaries of 200 trainees during the two moths.
The training courses shall be conducted in two shifts a day i.e. Morning shift from 8 a.m. – 12 noon and Evening shift from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. with an intake capacity of 50 in each batch.
A stipend @ Rs. 500/- per trainee along with the qualifying certificates issued by FICSI shall be awarded to those who successfully qualified in the assessment conducted under FICSI at the end of every three days of training. T-shirts and Caps bearing PMKVY logo are also provided to every trainee.
No fee is charged for joining the training and no age bar.
Those who have passed class VIII, attained the age of 18 years and willing to join the workforce in the Fish and Sea Food Processing sub- sector for their livelihood may apply along with valid Bank Pass Book, Adhaar Card and other testimonials any day during the training period.
