Shower's Power
Moirangthem Minakshi Devi *
In a cloudy night, laid I burdened by life's strife,
Sought I a slight respite from my mental blight.
Then, a sound met my ears with a melodious might,
When a balmy bird came to my sight.
Its hymn hiked my spirit to a high height,
That begot a balm to calm my restless night
As I stayed then in silence lost in a thrilling thought,
A sudden flash of light the clashing clouds briskly brought,
Followed that though by a terrible thunder,
Those thrilled my heart and soul as I sought.
The thundering sound echoed all around like a lion's roar,
Seemingly triggering a refreshing downpour.
Shrinked soul mine, swelled that by the rain,
The thunder thrilled, emboldened my strained brain,
The lightning magically lightened my dark mental lanes.
Lightning, thunder and raining - the super power,
Those majestic trio make mighty and gaiety a shower.
The trio bless the Earth with greens
To nurture the Nature,
For Nature to nurture us
In turn ,today and in future.
