National Seminar on Yogic Science

Two days national seminar on Yogic Science 2021 was organised on 26th to 27th August 2021 by the Department of Yoga, Manipur University, A Central University, Canchipur, Imphal. The Webinar was organized by Dr. Maibam Nodiyachand Singh, Head of Department of Yoga and NSS Cell Coordinator, Manipur University, Imphal, as the organising secretary.
On the first day, first speaker, Prof. Pradeep, Prof. & Head , Sant Hiradaram Medical College Naturopathy & Yogic Science for Women , Bhopal Madhya Pradesh ,giving his presentation on ‘Evidence Based Yoga Therapy’.
Resource Person in the Webinar, Prof. Pradeep, said, Yoga Course should includes Therapy based Yoga .It will become great benefit to the mass. In the second session of the first day, resource person Sri K.Brajamani Sharma, Retd .College Librarian ,Sanskrit Acharya (Gold Medal) spoke on the topic ‘Gita: A Personnel Guide’ .He said, the purpose of the webinar is to cheer and pass the message to the participants about the beauty of gita to human kind .
This session were moderated by Dr. N Nilakamal Singh, assistant professor, department of yoga and Rk.Roshni Raj Lukshmi, guest faculty, deptt. of Yoga as the co moderator.
On the second day of the National Seminar ,were moderated by Dr. Maibam Nodiyachand Singh ,HOD, deptt. of Yoga & NSS Cell Coordinator ,Manipur University and assisted by Rk.Roshni Raj Lukshmi ,guest faculty ,deptt. of Yoga as the co moderator.
The first resource person , Prof.T.M Srinivasan ,Prof. in S-VYASA University, Bengaluru, Karnataka ,delivered on the topic ‘Science of Yoga’. He said that yoga is pure science, it involved human consciousness.
The last resource person was Prof. R. Subramaniam , Dean, Academics, National Sports University, Govt, of India, Khuman Lampak Complex ,Imphal. Giving a narrative on the topic ‘Yoga and Mental Health’ he said that Yoga department should have research work to get deep knowledge of yoga. Prof. R. Subramaniam said Yoga helps cultivate appropriate attitude towards life
A total of 189 persons including academicians in yogic science, Yogic Science students, yoga lovers and other faculties, NSS programme officers, volunteers all over the country have participated in the webinar.
