Seagull Seagull
Parthajit Borah *
Heartfelt thanks to the millions for toiling much to make us happy.
You are the epitome of creation for moulding the earth to live.
Your oeuvre skills to personify the dead stones of the Himalayas.
The echoes of your dexterity builds the green ladder to touch the Horizon.
You are the Seagull of red sea who never fears to fly over the sun without nest.
A sophisticated, flashy life appeals.
But, you listen cries of the Nile the clock tower forgets to shake its head.
But, you are the deweller of the earth since beginning.
(An ode to Dr Bhupen Hazarika,a music maestro of North-east)
