- Top court seeks responses from govts on 2011 road rage killing

The Supreme Court today sought the responses of the Centre and the Manipur government in the 2011 road-rage killing of a youth by chief minister N. Biren Singh's son.
A vacation bench of Justices L. Nageswara Rao and Navin Sinha issued notices to the Union home secretary and the Manipur chief secretary to respond by May 29 on the plea by Irom Chitra Devi, mother of Irom Roger, the victim, alleging sustained efforts to browbeat the family through use of terrorist elements and state machinery to prevent them from filing an appeal in the case.
