Ronaldo Laishram selected for International Asteroid Search Campaign by IASC, USA
In what is considered as a rare feat, Ronaldo Laishram, a lad from Manipur who recently discovered an Main Belt Asteroid MAUR397 as part of All India Asteroid Search Campaign is selected for International Asteroid Search Campaign by IASC,USA with his teammate Dhariya Bhimwal. Ronaldo and Dhariya Bhimwal will represent the team Salonivia Conquerors.
His team Salonivia Conquerors and another team from India will represent India in this Campaign. The asteroid search is conducted globally by the International Astronomical Search Collaboration IASC,USA. According to report IASC will released real time data of space from which Ronaldo will made his observations through a special software and sending daily reports to the IASC.

Ronaldo, who is currently studying Computer Science Engineering in SJCE,Mysore is the youngest son of Laishram Mahajon Singh and L(O) Sanahanbi of Khangabok, Thoubal District Manipur. Having always been fascinated by Celestial objects, he was interested in researching and observing celestial objects since Childhood. He finished his schooling from K.M Blooming English School, Khangabok and Xtra Edge School, Sagolband.
Ronaldo was recently facilitated by Science Popularization Association of Communicators and Educators(SPACE) for his asteroid discovered in New Delhi . SPACE CEO Amit Verma and SJCE Principal Dr. Syed Shakkeb Ur Rahman congratulated the team for achieving the rare feat and wish the team Salonivia Conquerors a successful hunting for International Asteroid Campaign.
