Report on IITF 2010 Manipur Pavilion

Manipuri digital film star Abenao life size picture greets everyone with her mesmerising smile at the entrance of the Manipur pavilion at the ongoing India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan , New Delhi. The wonderful handloom and handicrafts works depicts the rich culture of our state.
Manipuri in Delhi have a huge reason to smile as the stall is truly a home away from home. Varieties of homemade pickles, dry fruits, dry bamboo shoot, dry soya bean and many more are available at a reasonable price.
The 30th IITF kicked off at Pragati maidan on sunday the 14th of Nov. this year's theme is "Clean and Energy Efficient Technology Products & Services."

The focus states are Chattisgarh and Rajasthan, partner state is Maharastra, there are about 7000 exhibitors from India and 23 countries including China , Japan , Korea and several western and eastern countries will showcase their products in the fortnight long trade fair. Japan and Uganda are participating for the first time.
Manipur Pavilion at Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) 2010 at Pragati Maidan here showcased State's typical handloom and handicrafts products produced by the co-operative societies and individual entrepreneurs representing from all nine districts of Manipur.
Apart from State's varied handloom and handicrafts products, the Pavilion also showed the immense tourist destinations and potentials of Manipur at the entrance of the pavilion by the State Tourism Department through distribution of tourism leaflets, posters and electronic displays.
Films on State's tourism development, handicrafts and industrial development were shown on the big screen at Pavilion. Manipur Tourism was inviting the visitors to enjoy the 10-day Manipur Sangai Festival commencing from November 21 to 30 at Imphal and various places of Manipur.
For proper arrangement and beautification of the Manipur Pavilion, Ksh. Shantakumar, Director of the Manipur Pavilion stationed at Pragati Maidan since November 11.
Manipur Minister of Commerce and Industries Yumkham Erabot also inspected the Manipur Pavilion on November 3 and Manipur Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industries O. Nabakishore Singh visited the site on November 12.

India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 30th edition of its popular annual event, the India International Trade Fair, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2010.
IITF Offers to participants from different segments of industry adequate visibility for their products and services among fair visitors with demarcated halls representing different sectors. Through its Special Display sections of techmart, represnting products and technologies of small and medium enterprises, Saras, Highlighting tribal and rural handicrafts, and Good Living, with focus on products and goods relevant to daily living, the fair ensures a distinct visibility for generic product categories. These represent engineering, software and hardware, automobiles, electronics, telecom, leather, textiles, handicrafts, jewellery, furniture and furnishings besides a wide range of consumer goods.
