Rejoinder to Nagaland Chief Minister statement
15 June 2018, Kohima :
The Naga people’s Front is amused by the denial of the Chief Minister Office (CMO) of the statement made by the Chief Minister Shri. Neiphiu Rio on 12th June 2018 at Delhi. Perhaps, we have anticipated such denial even before we issue our statement on 14th June 2018 that, he will deny and refute what he has spoken about the selling out of Naga Political Destiny.
It is in fact perfectly the carbon copy of Pontius Pilat Judgement of Jesus Christ for crucifixion. The Governor Pilat has given Jesus Christ at the disposal of Jews people knowing fully well that they are going to crucify him in a most cruel way and shown his hand washing infront of the people.
Similarly, Shri. Neiphiu Rio has sold out the Nagas destiny by taking the side of the Government of India openly and stating that Naga Integration is not at all possible. Anyway, by saying so he has made known his mind to the Government of India as well as to the Naga people without any reservation.
The NPF is objecting especially because he happened to be the Chief Minister of the day and making such open declaration by an incumbent Chief Minister that is also in the presence of both electronic and Print Media Person in the National Capital, New Delhi and he has serve his purpose by betraying the Naga cause with clarity.
Furthermore, the CMO nor from himself has denied nor refuted of what he has stated about the citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
He has clearly stated that Art 371(A) of the Constitution of India has given/provided enough protection and safeguard for the Naga People and therefore it is not necessary for him or his government to oppose this impending bill.
The issue related to the infamous “Bed rock of Naga Society”, on which he himself resigned from the Cabinet in 2002 Government stating that this “book-let”, has sold out the Naga Right and today the same person is championing this infamous Bill so as to pleased his masters in Delhi.
The NPF is of the firm opinion that the Bengal Frontier Regulation Act 1873 (Inner Line Permit (ILP)) should be uniformly imposed in all over Nagaland, including Dimapur.
Perhaps, the NPF has no objection to the decision of keeping Dimapur – I Assembly Constitution A/C I as open and the rest 59 A/C’s reserved for the Nagas. But for ILP introduction Dimapur should be included henceforth.
Therefore endorsing, accepting or supporting the citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 in Nagaland does not arise and we shall oppose steeply regardless of what BJP led PDA Government in Nagaland approve or endorse the said Bill. The NPF is raising this issue again because the Chief Minister Shri. Neiphiu Rio has not responded to this issue negatively/positively.
