REINSTATE ALL THE CASUAL WORKERS FIRED IN FCI!
NEFIS ALONG WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANISATIONS SHALL HALT ALL WORK IN PROTEST!
MOVEMENT SHALL BE INENSIFIED IF WORKERS ARE NOT GIVEN HOB IMMEDIATELY: NEFIS
Today North East Forum For International Solidarity (NEFIS) along with other local organizations held a meeting against removal of workers of FCI. It should be known that on 5th December more than 80 casual workers were fired without any prior notice. These workers were fired bypassing the labour laws.
On 6th December these workers chained themselves to the gate of FCI, protesting the illegal firing. Despite their protest administration is not ready to provide them their job denying them right to livelihood.
Various Organisations like Lukram Leirak Youth Club, Chanura Liching Lup- Meira Paibi, Mahila Mandal Sangaiprou Meira Paibi, The Nupi Weaver Welfare Association Tera Lukram Part lll, participated in the meeting held today.
Organizations pledged to support the workers struggle and unanimously decided to fight on following issues.
1. Reinstate all the workers fired from their jobs.
2. All work shall be halted completely, until all workers fired not are taken in,
